Boot shut protector

Hello,

As above really, can anyone recommend a boot shut protector? The wife will be lifting a pram in and out so don't want the painted bumper to get scratched.

Tried the usual Ebay search but its slim picking for the new shape unless you want to spend £60 on one.

Title pretty much covers it. Wife's 2015 1.6 full auto C4 GP started flashing up an 'engine fault and amber service light. pops up with 3 audible and annoying bings. Within seconds the faults clear only to reappear 3-5 mins later. No code logged in the on board interface or checking with a cheap OBD2 scanner.

Fault only flashes up when car is in motion, 10ins idling on drive even with revs did not trigger it.

Car is 4.5 years old with about 25k on clock. Mixture of short and medium journeys with a couple fo longer runs a month.

Stop start ceased working a few months ago but frankly we don't miss it so hadn't tried to resolve. Had thought that was a reasonable indicator it might be the battery on the way out but took to Halfords autocenter and their test came back with 68% health, which seems to suggest the battery is okay, not exactly last legs but prob not source of fault.

Car booked in with dealership but earliest is a week Monday giving us a week of tricky logistics, so... Anyone recognise the symptoms and any process of elimination suggestions, cheers all, c

Jerky 1st Gear

I have a 2007 C4 GP auto. Recently it seems to be jerky when going into 1st gear (all other auto changes are ok) Thing is it doesn't happen every time which is frustrating!
Garage I regularly use aren't up on auto bixes and reckon there's some adjustment that can be made to the clutch.

Thoughts?

DS4 Rough Idle when starting + EGR error code in Fault Codes

I have been experiencing my DS4 idling rough when I start it on a warm day.
it sounds like it is running on 3 cylinders.

After a while it runs fine.

I hocked up my car to a diagbox and it came up with lots of errors codes, after clearing them it bought up the error below.
Looking through the log, it looks like it had the same error at 6km (when the car was new)

Do I need to replace/clean the EGR or somewhere I read this rough idle is related to a software issue?
Someone else mentioned I need to change my glow plugs, so currently confused what to do? Any help greatly appreciated.

RPM gauge won't work properly

Hey
I own a C4 2007 VTR 1.6L
And recently I had a problem with the RPM gauge over the steering wheel

When its a bit cold outside (about 20 celsius degrees) the RPM gauge doesn't turn on
It takes about 10-15 min for the inside of the car to get warmer and then the gauge start working.
At the beginning it looks like there is a wiring issue because the display goes on and off but after few minutes for the beginning of the driving it works perfectly

Last night I had like 30 min drive and it was quite warm but yet the display didn't work, I did see some blinking of it but it was like 1-2 seconds and then didn't work again.

Does anyone know this problem or has any idea of how to fix it?

Grand C4 Picasso electric tailgate 3 beeps

Hello, hoping someone can help. Since buying my 64 plate exclusive+ I’ve had an intermittent issue with the electric tailgate not closing, when either hitting the button on the boot or the keyfob 3 beeps are heard and the boot doesn’t close! Over the past few months, this has gone from an intermittent issue to happening 99% of the time!

The electric tailgate opens no problem 100% of the time. I had the battery checked last service and all was fine. I’m also aware that 3 beeps are heard when setting the tailgate height by holding the close button for a few seconds, but this is not the case in this situation. I have also tried manually setting the height (suggested in other posts) but this doesn’t fix the problem!

My wife is due to give birth to our 3rd child in the next few weeks, so I urgently need to get to the bottom of this, any assistance would be appreciated!

I have located an updated radio (3D Sat Nav Carplay Android) for my 2014 C4GP but can't find out how to remove the old one and replace with the new one I have looked online i.e. YouTube and google searches and this forum but have found nothing Any information would be appreciated

C4 Picasso 1.6 blueHDi Coolant Leak - Melted pipe?

Hi

First time here, and hope someone can help. Our heater stopped blowing hot air so went under the bonnet and the coolant tank was empty much to my surprise.

Topped up straight away with the right coolant and have managed to find a small leak in a melted pipe.. Is this a common problem?



It looks like an easy enough swap - can someone point me in the direction of a part number?

Hello guys, yesterday my car went crazy my ABS ESP and brake faulty lights came on and then disappear and came again after a few minutes and then my front lights went off and not working anymore. Only tail headlights are working and parking lights, any solutions? Thank you

hi

new here.

Trying to refit a 1.6 Hdi engine to a 2007 Picasso but have got stuck on one bit - what goes on to the two terminals on the top fusebox - im guessing one is the lead off the battery positive - can anyone tell me what goes on the other?????have tried uploading an image but cant seem to do it but it the two nuts on the fusebox im struggling to figure out what attachs to them....

Hello. Just purchased a C4 from a non Citroen dealer. The car is pretty much in mint condition and covered 33k. It has minor and very annoying problem. When accelerating through 1st to 3rd gear and when the clutch is fully released there is a brief high pitched squeak. This happens constantly when just after engaging 2nd, release clutch, cue brief squeak. Sometimes happens in 1st and 3nd too. The car is operating fine and there is no clutch slippage. Took it back to the dealer who hadn’t a clue and they referred to a Citroen dealer for advice who mentioned that it was a common but yet unresolved fault ? Just touching base here to see if anyone has had similar issues as I need to put this to bed under the purchase warranty. Any advice would be appreciated.

Anti perforation Warranty

My C4 GP is now approaching being 4 years old, so will need a service and MOT. I have noticed from the service booklet, that it also needs an inspection of the bodywork for the warranty.

My Citroen dealership told me that they don't have a bodyshop to do this inspection and couldn't tell me how to get this done and if there is a cost.

I phoned Citroen Customer Care and they couldn't asnwer the question either, just telling me to contact the dealer.

Has anyone here had this inspection carried out and does it cost?

When I reverse on lock to a parking space I get a loud Honk from the rear of the car, it does it mostly when touch braking to slow it to 1mph as you come to a halt, it sometimes does it reversing without touching the brake too !!!

its really loud and embarrassing !!!

Any ideas ???

Hi, I have just brought a 2014 C4 Picasso and am trying to source a parcel shelf for it. I have no idea what it looks like and was wondering if someone could post a photograph or part number for it. There are loads for sale on ebay but they are all very different and am not sure which one to get.

It is the Picasso not the Grand Picasso.

Crazy Sensor Lights and other problems after Battery Re-charge

Hi Everyone,

I have recently bought a 2007 C4 Picasso Exclusive, 2.0l petrol automatic. When the car arrived it was not MOT'd due to problem with pneumatic rear suspension. I had a local garage to convert the suspension to coil springs and to MOT the car. Everything went fine but I was left with a display warning of "suspension fault" which I intended to have removed by my local Citroen Dealer. I left the car on the drive then for a couple of weeks without driving it with a view to taxing and insuring it on the 1st of the next month. Unfortunately when I then next tried to start the car the battery was completely dead - just a clicking sound on trying to start the car. I took the battery off the car and charged it to 100% overnight on an "intelligent" charger. I refitted the battery and started the car which started fine but after about 20 secs the revs dropped to circa 500 revs/m and the car started to idle very roughly as if about to stall plus I had Electronic Handbrake, ESP, ESR and Remote Battery Low and Service Warning Lights come on. Tried revving car and driving it around our estate in case it was damp but the car would not even pull up the slightest incline. I managed to get the car back in my drive and turned engine off with a view to taking it to a local garage for a diagnostic.
About 45 mins later I decided to try the car again and lo and behold everything had gone back to normal - no warning lights except the expect suspension fault and the car drove totally normally except for one or two slight misses.
I decided to take the car to the local diagnostic this morning anyway to have any faults cleared. The car drove perfectly normally from the house to the garage - no effects of damp as the car had stood overnight. I went to collect it this evening and was advised a couple of faults needed clearing which had been done. I jumped in the car and went to drive off the forecourt and 15 second down the road (although the car appeared to be pulling normally) the dashboard was like Blackpool Illumination with warning lights - including all those which had previously lit up the day before but also now was a speed sensor warning and an engine warning light, In addition the gearbox would not operate automatically and I could only manually operate the gearbox on the paddles up to third gear and the car would not enter 4th manually at all.
Anyone please please got any idea what the hell has/is happening - any help greatly appreciated.
