C4 picasso 2.0 hdi starting problem

Hi, I have a rather strange starting problem. First some background, I recently had the number 3 injector replaced due to a leaky injector and the starting issue started occurring after it was replaced. No fault codes are registered and after replacing the injector the leak test is now fine.

The starting issue occurs if I leave the car for a lengthy period i.e overnight. It fails to start first time. I can get it to start by either churning the key and giving it some accelerator. If I pump the priming bladder it fires up first time. After which it runs fine and starts ok unless I leave it for a lengthy period.

Just not quite sure where to start looking ?

2008 Grand C4 Picasso auto, Manual parking brake fine but auto not

Hi all, recently bought a C4GP and it has various errors coming up (parking brake fault, abs fault, esp fault, and particle filter warning) I'm going to take it in for a full service but I've noticed the auto handbrake isn't engaging at all, manual button works fine, bit tricky if I'm on a hill as I have to jump on the gas before it rolls back too far, could this be the braking switch I've seen mentioned or more likely something else?

Glow plug harness

Does anybody know which wire from the glow plug relay corresponds to which glow plug? I have tested the relay with a multimeter to diagnose my p 1351 code and I have the pink wire as open circuit (bottom middle port on the harness socket). Would like to know as I have already snapped a glow plug in the block before which I had to drill out, the one on cylinder 4 which is the top left port on the harness socket. I don't fancy drilling them all out as I know for a fact they always snap in this engine! TIA

Hi all. I have a c4 vts hdi. What is the part called under the boost solonoide at the front of the engine. The boost solonoide is brown and the one under is black.

Rear view mirror upgrade, possible?

Hi, got a 2008 VTR+ and I just bought a salvage minni interior mirror to fit but it comes with the auto dip mirror too, do the connections exist in the VTR for this? Does it just need 12v? Also anyone know if you can buy the adhesive pads to stick the dip mirror assembly onto the windshield?

Fuse Box

Hello, this is my first post so apologies if I’m not up to scratch on some bits!

I have a CITROEN C4 E-HDI VTR PLUS EGS 2013 .. I bought it from Evans Halshaw a couple years ago and when I first bought it they have it an MOT. Unfortunately they for them they failed the MOT And had to replace the fuse box under the bonnet.

Fast forward two years and my left headlight has gone.. I have replaced the bulb twice but still nothing so I am assuming it will be the fuse. I went to take a look at the fuse and it is nothing like the one in the owners manual? I have tried to google it but I’m struggling, there appears to be fuses where there shouldn’t be and no fuses where there should? I’ve attached a picture in the hope someone will be able to tell me what I’m looking at and what fuses I may need to replace?


Also my side light / DRL seems to be intermittent .. after many hours staring at it after it suddenly goes off I have figured out the connection in the bulb holder is bad. I went to replace this but can’t seem to buy them anywhere? It’s a P21/5w!

Additive system fault - no communication in diagbox

I have recently changed the glow plugs and relay to clear the p1351 code which I thought was maybe causing the message on dash "risk of particle filter being blocked", as it was pretty much the only code that was related to the ignition and possibly the regen. I have rescanned and cleared all the codes in diagbox and the message still appears on dash. When running the diagnostic test it shows communication error with "diesel additive" in the list of ECUs but it shows communication with the "diesel additive adding pump" and there is no faults? Can anyone advise as to what my next move is? I've checked all the wiring in the engine bay and under the fusebox, it all looks good. When doing an additive pump test in diagbox you can hear the pump working but when trying to activate the additive pump to pump fluid in another test it says unable to activate pump actuator and fails due to no communication. This is driving me mad now and I dare not drive it as the filter is now at 61% full.

C4 picasso gearbox and braking problem

Hi all,
I have a 2007 2.0L petrol C4 Picasso 108,500miles. After sitting on the drive for 2 weeks (previously driving fine) straight away warning beeps and messages came thick and fast. ESP faulty, handbrake faulty, gearbox faulty 🙄
Car wouldn't go into auto (just read 1 instead of A1) drove it down the road using paddle but would only go up to 3rd gear. It was still going down in gear by itself. The handbrake was stuck on at first but now won't go on so have a brick behind the wheel.
Any ideas or advice gratefully received.

How to buy set of plug and cable for rear right window control switch

Model: C4 Picasso 1.6 HDi 2008

I bought a used car but sadly the right rear door window does not work.
I removed the door cover to check for any malfunctions and found only the switch plugged in and no cables connected.
Where should I buy the cable and what is the part number?
I would appreciate it if you could tell me how to repair it.

Not a technical person, but want to be able to flag stuff up to my garage. Is there a specific place to post for my model? I think the battery may be failing. The stop/start thing takes a few miles to start working again after a few days standing. Or after using aircon. or after night driving. There seems to be conflicting advice about whether settings will be lost on disconnect, or need to use additional supply.

C4 GP - Tweeter removal and front speaker crossover location

Hi,
I've spent some time looking for answers to my questions but couldn't find them. I would appreciate help I'll be installing some aftermarket speakers, but many of you are probably more experienced.

1. How do I remove tweeters? Any screws? Do I have to remove A pillar? Is there any service manual with parts view?

2. Where are the crossovers for front speakers located? I have an issue with front right speakers. I'm sure it's not the speaker or head unit (aftermarket Alpine) so it has to be a crossover but I don't want to take whole dash apart to find it.

3. What is the best way put new cables for woofers? I know that I have to go from doors to rubber grommet but what then?

When looking it up on the service.citroen.com site, the whole lighting unit appears as one part, but I’m only looking for this tiny LED.

Plastic cover (the long one) under engine C4 GP

My plastic cover under the engine has started to come loose and a corner has broken off. I'm trying to find out if they are all much the same and interchangeable between all the C4 variants.

The part number that features in the sticky thread image is: RP 8108 ER. Is this the right part number for a 2010 C4 GP? Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Major clutch issue when starting vehicle

I own a C4 Grand Picasso. To start the vehicle you must insert the key fob, depress the clutch fully, the press the start button.

Recently I noticed that the clutch depress wasn't registering, so a press of the button did not start the vehicle. It would only work when the clutch was depressed very firmly to the floor. Over a few weeks I've noticed that you have to really depress quite hard to the floor for it to register. The force required is increasing for the depress to register.

The clutch is fine when driving and changing gears.

Any idea what could cause this?

2008 1.6vti GP air con not operating...

Hi all...
The problem with my air con has been the bane of my life, many mechanics have laboured to no avail and i am left still with the problem.. My AC will not operate, the compressor and actuator have been changed, the pressure sensor, the BCM module, all the wiring has been checked.. yet still nothing.. We have been able to determine 2 fault codes, P0010 and P0597, both showing open circuit.... I know the P0010 refers to the VVT solenoid and will be attended to, but the P0597 refers to the thermostat heater control ? The thermostat assembly is relatively new, could it be referring to another sensor outside of the assembly ? there is another indicator that it is a thermostat problem as the radiator fan runs almost continually.... could this fact be a reason the AC will not fire up ? Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.....

According to the Citroen website the European map update is 42028.zip which I think is 2019-1.

The latest map is 42050.zip which is 2019-2.

I know I can find this latest map update on unofficial websites, but does anyone know why the official website is not up to date?

K&N Filter C4 Picasso

Hi All,

Just want to share that I have a 2.0 BlueHDi Diesel 150hp engine on my Picasso 2015.

I installed a filter and gained an additional 24 miles based on normal driving. Mixed motorway and stuck in small traffic scenario, bare in mind my start and stop doesn't work, could be due to battery as no AC or heat is used

422 is what is shown on a full tank and after driving to empty with the trip computer it was 446 which I'm very impressed with.

It not may work across all Picasso's, however if you drive without a heavy foot then very well worth the change of the Air Filter.
