High speed cooling fan coming on every 10secs even when engine cold

The 3rd speed cooling fan keeps cutting in and out and making excessive noise. Yes the A/C is on but this is a new thing. The car was involved in a front shunt and has been making the noise ever since. Citroen have run diagnostics and there is no error code. They have replaced the relay and the thermostat but it still hasn't solved the issue (even though they're saying it isn't a problem)

Any thoughts /tips / suggestions greatly received. I have very little knowledge about car engines BUT I do know this is not how my car used to sound or function.

Thanks in advance for your help

C4GP 2017 steering wheel

Hey people! Good evening to everyone!

I'm new to the community, from Croatia and owner of citroen for a bit over a year now With expansion of the family I was searching for a right family car for me and in the end decided it is citroen grand c4 picasso. Definitely.

With that said, I really hope someone will know an answer to my question which is driving me crazy and I thank you in advance for that

I was a proud owner of 2016 grand c4 picasso, 2.0hdi manual transmission, intensive package, and was fully satisfied with it. Few months ago I decided to upgrade it for new 2017 model, same engine but exclusive package and I generally like it. Except for one thing.

Steering wheel.

In the old model steering wheel was with 4 groups of keys on it, and I used all of them extensively. Now I got highest package of equipment offered and got steering wheel with only 2 groups of keys (upper ones). Location where bottom keys should go are just flat surfaces as if something is missing there, or not installed.

I can't describe my disappointment after I saw that. I asked at my dealer and got answer that it's facelift, citroen decided it's like that and that's it.

Later when I checked online for interior every single one has all of the buttons on the steering wheel. All of reviews, youtube videos, photos... So I don't understand why I got only half. Exclusive package...

Can it be something with region where the car is sold (I live in Croatia)? But then again - last model came fully equipped. Is it possible that somehow wrong steering wheel was installed (and is it even possible)?

If someone can shed any light on this I would be thankful, or at least point me in right direction where to look for it since I can't get any from my car dealer.

Thank you all in advance.

Greetings from Croatia.

Mate.

Alloy wheel help.

Hi guys, I'm trying to get some 18" alloy wheels for my c4 hatchback.

I'm getting confused, the guide on here states about a 25mm offset, and only going to 7J size, now the wheels I'm looking at online state they fit the car. However they are 8J and come with hub centric spacer of 15mm, they are offset 40mm wheels.

How does this work, would the 15mm spacer bring the offset of the wheels from 40mm ET down to 25mm ET, making it the correct size to fit my car.?

Or do I need 25mm spacer to make it fit.

Confused and frustrated C4 owner.

Hello,

I look at the forum quite often for tips and answers to my problems. I'm wondering if the forum has any link with Citroen to get answers & "nice to haves" directly? It's just a thought that they might appreciate the top 10 issues so they can improve their cars?

Any way my suggestion for an improvement is to not disable the top screen when navigating if you just want to change the air-con/ radio etc. It can't be too difficult since turning up the volume of the radio still shows the navigation screen on the bottom one.

Losing the top screen may happen just at a difficult moment when navigating.

Thanks

If you are pulling a trailer, caravan or have a bike rack with the 12v socket attached, although the blind spot indicator will be lit on the dash board, it will not work on the side mirrors.

Just somthing to be aware of if you depend on them.

Tried various combinations of switch on sequence for getting rhs parking lights on.
Nothing worked. It was dark so I expected the 'auto lights' position might be needed.
I haven't found the handbook too clear on this.

C4 coupe wannabe, buying help request!

Hey boys and gals I was a former proud owner of an MG TF for 6 years. Yeah I know many had a lot to say about the quality of an MG but I was lucky and really had no trouble and enjoyed it. Now I am in the process of buying a 2005 1.6 VTR C4 coupe here in Germany, since I moved here recently. I went for a viewing and a test drive. I started the engine let it idle for 3-5 mins and then took off and it drives well and sounds good but on my return I noticed 2 oil puddles on the ground. He played dumb claiming he doesnt know about it but there are 4 or 5 dried ones around becuase that's the spot where he always parks but OK I give him a benefit of a doubt. We bent down to look and sure enough every 3 sec a drop falls in the upper middle part of the car but I think there is also a leak that came from the front and it looked oily on the engine too here are the pics.

He took the car to the mechanic today and says it's the Simmer ring from the transmission and it costs 150€ to fix. The gear stick is also quite stiff when I move it in neutral to the left and right. The other two cars I have test driven were smoother. Now is this a cause for concern and should I move on to find another or is it not a big concern? I love the looks of the C4, soo cool and sexy even after 12 years and would love to own one but I have to find a good example. I would be really gratefull for any insight or thoughts and I hope to join the family. TZ

How to fit the various parts for an ICE install (DAB, Speakers, Mic and head unit)

$

Hi all
I have recently purchased a C4GP VTR+ (08) and I am looking to update the stereo and speakers. I have managed to get hold of a Kenwood KDC-X7100DAB. I want to keep the steering wheel controls and the parking sensors (for the wife ).

It was suggested i needed to buy these cables:

CTSCT008 Steering Control Adaptor
Single Wire Kenwood patch lead
CT24CT06 Single Din Facia
CT27AA14 Aerial Adaptor

Would this be right?

I am not too sure what speakers i need. I know they should be component and 6.5. I would like to make this as simple as possible. Can anyone suggest a good option? I am not looking to spend a lot, i just want to improve the sound.

My other dilemma is the fitting. I cannot seem to find any videos for a notice on how to remove the door panels, wire the stereo including the microphone and how to fit the DAB aerial in the Picasso. I would ideally like to do this myself and keep the cost down as much as possible.

Anyhelp would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

The car seems not so powerful as it was about a year ago. I have changed the engine air filter and it did brighten up the engine but I have the following problem:

When shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, the car starts to twich a bit. Also when I leave the traffic lights, the engine almost shuts down.

I have been doing some research and I would be happy if someone could tell me where following parts are located in this type of car.

- MAP sensor
- Idle air control valve
- Throttle body

Also sorry for my bad English.

I noticed a broken rubber on the right side lower engine mount. I'm not certain about the removal of the bush, or do I have to remove the entire mount ? As far as I can see there's the drive shaft going through ? Would I need kind of a pressing tool to get it out ? I'm going to attach a few pics soon
