Air Condition problem on my C4

I have the C4 HDi 1,6 and I have a problem with my air condition.Sometimes works and sometimes not. When the air condition works everything is fine. Sometimes when i start the car the air condition does not work at all. When i turn the key to position one and all the lights turn on, the air condition blows air, as soon as I turn fully the key to start the engine the air condition stops workings. Even if i press the AUTO button on the screen. In order to make the air condition work again I have to turn off the engine, Start it again and maybe will work. Sometimes i need to start the car 5-6 times in order for the air condition start working. Does anybody had this problem before?

power plug

Hello,
In the grand c4 Picasso there are three power plugs. It shows 12V on each one of them. Does this mean any item that shows 12v on it can be used with these power plugs in the car? My in car vacuum cleaner works with just the middle power plug and not the other two in the car. citroen says this vacuum cleaner blows-up the 10Amp fuses inside the power plugs and it should not be used.
What do you think?

Thanks

Now, I would need help with each of the many detected faults... I am attaching screenshots and will update the thread with summary of the faults and their description.

Flying to Southampton on Sunday due to working at Esso Fawley next week. Going to try to get in a visit to said museum when I am not working. Not been to the museum for approx 35 years, I am sure it must have changed. Need to work out how to get there after work now, might speak to the hotel about this.

Timing belt kit options

Hi guys, I have a 2007 c4 coupe, 1.6hdi.
I am looking to replace the timing belt, water pump etc.
My uncle works with Peugeot Ireland and can get parts 40% off. I have asked him about getting me a kit but as usual is slow/lazy about it.
I have started to look elsewhere online etc! My question is should I go with the genuine kit from Peugeot or will a kit online from a brand like Gates be just fine??
Thanks

P0238 turbo boost fault and symptoms

$

Hi all

I have a 1.6 HDI coupe.

I have recently resolved a MAF sensor fault with a new sensor and I have promptly moved on to a P0238 turbo boost fault. I have also noticed that when accelerating hard I will get random little flat spots through the range. I am guessing the boost is hitting a limit and being vented off, or something like that?

One other thing I noticed during a long journey with several stops is that when the engine was re started when hot, the first couple of minutes the engine would struggle to pull until higher revs. the revs would increase steadily and no spluttering etc. just no power. Is the turbo variable vain? A friend's car (VW) had a similar symptom and was to do with variable vain not actuating.

Anyway I am thinking of replacing the boost sensor and boost control solenoid. Am I on the right track or can anyone recommend anything else?

Many thanks

C4 HID self-leveling faulty

Car is in for MOT today, asked to have them take a look at the 'auto height adjusting' error I get once in a while.

Turns out the sensor on the rear axle is faulty. Garage charges 180 euro's to change it out. I've found a thread in the past where someone has explained how to replace the thing, but can't seem to find it anymore.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Or know how to replace the damn thing?

Also a bit surprised that faulty self-leveling headlights isn't an MOT failure...

Hi all. I have a C4 Picasso VTR+ at the moment and due to our expanding family now need the Grand version.

Mine is the 1.6hdi manual version and I'd like opinions if I should go for petrol as I now only do 6000 miles a year.

Here's my wishlist though.... Exclusive or Platinum model, Black with full black leather interior, xenon headlights, built in sat nav, 18" Krakatoa wheels. I know the later Platinum only has the 17" wheels but can the 18s be retrofitted? Would auto be better than manual? Searching the classifieds I'm not sure if the above car exists! Thanks in advance for any info

Air Suspension Error but suspension not falling

Hi,
I recently bought a MK 1 C4 Grand Picasso Exclusive with an intermittent Service error message appearing on the dashboard.
In recent days I drove 600 km and no error appeared, then another 600km and the message appeared about 300km in to the journey.
The error log from the dashboard says that it is a suspension problem.
To me the suspension at the rear doesn't have dropped to the ground.
A call to clairvoyants; What could be the problem
Is an error like this an obstacle to passing an MOT test

Does an ODB scanner provide more useful information than the dashboard error.

Is the 2.0Hdi 16v engine hard on cambelts

As mentioned in my other thread I've recently purchased a C4 GP 2litre diesel

The car has 100k miles on the belt and is 10 years old.
Supposedly the belt should be changed at 160k/10years.

Because I bought the car so cheaply I would like not to change the belt and use the car for whatever Manufacturer car scrapage scheme may be available in a years time.
The car simply isn't clean enough for me to consider it a keeper although it has interested me in the new model Picasso and that might be a possible next car.

Is the 2 litre HDI 16v hard on its belt/tensioner, water pump.
Some engines are harder than others. I haven't heard anything bad about this engine.
Is the belt easily inspected without change.

Broken C4 Grand Picasso boot trim/handle

Hi,
The boot handle of my car is well broken.
Do you know of anywhere where this part is available cheaply or failing that a hyperlink to a good clear picture of the inner side of the boot trim/handle so that I can rebuild the jigsaw that is the collection of broken parts and use epoxy resin to rebuild the handle.

The handle is so fragile by design I'm not sure I'll be able to repair it.
Fortunately my boot actuators are working fine.

Sorry for the problem reports. This is actually a nice car in spite of the localised issues which I have with it. I'm not even asking about the Panoramic roof; that is only a nice to have feature.

EGS gearbox and Lexia

So, having replaced my EGS gearbox a while back, I figured I'd just hold off and see how things went before trying to do too much more. At some point I need to configure the clutch, it's not bad as it is, but it's not amazing.

So, due to other comedy issues I bought myself a laptop with a copy of Lexia. Awesome. But I cannot find any of the configuration stuff in the software. BSI picks up all the ecu's, but I can't figure how to get any further into it. I have read the posts on here which describe how to work through the procedure, but my version of the software just seems to be different.

All ideas welcome, this must be something really basic.......?

Cheers!

Hi, just managed an oil and filter change + air filter and have bought new plugs, but not sure how to go about changing them. I have no manual, and it looks as though there might be a bit of pulling involved, but don't want to do any damage. Not 100% sure I am even looking in the right place! Can anybody help me on this one?

Regards,

Mel.
