C4 Grand Picasso 2013 Start Stop issues

I have a C4 Grand Picasso Diesel Auto 1.6 2013 and only have done 7700 miles.
Suddenly the Start Stop function has stopped working. The ECO light flashes
three times and nothing happens. The battery is fully charged and noting is
draining the battery. I have already checked all requirements for the function
to work to be ok. I have a Autel Maxidas d708 and it throws error A4D4 Fault:
Rear door sills or boot lighting fault : Short circuit to positive ,

I have checked all connections and lights to be working and nothing appears
to be short circuit. However on further diagnosis I found that in BIS system
one item failed ( Number plate illumination control Actuation failed ), however
the lights are working. The rest of functions on car are all ok. The DTC code comes back upon clearing.
Please help. Thanks in advance.

Coil Springs

Hi one and all, its been a while. May i ask what one would expect to pay for a off side coil spring fitted and supplied by Citroen. Just the one side mind! Thank you, it would be interesting to get a handle on what would be a reasonable charge for doing just one coil. Many thanks as always

Where exactly is the Eolys container?

Hello, I have a 56 plate grand Picasso, vin number starts VF7 UARHJH and RPO starts 10969FV.

The 'FAP fluid low' warning has come up on the dash so I have put my car on ramps and taken off the nsr (right hand drive car) undertray and I can't see any honeycomb container or anything around the fuel tank. The only area with space big enough is to the rear of the fuel tank next to where the compressor/spare wheel is.

Could someone confirm where it should be or whether my car actually does have it or thinks it may have been de-fap'd

Many thanks

Hi All

I have a 2008 C4GP which has an odd issue with the rear drivers side pillar climate control, which is now stuck on with the fan blowing on full, even though there are no other fans on??

It will turn itself on full as soon as i get in the car and start it, and then will stay on blowing full, it will remain on even when you turn the car off and take the keys out...

Anyone had this before or know whats wrong and more importantly how to fix it

Many thanks in advance.

Steve

Grand Picasso 2014 Exclusive Plus "Auto"

Hi,

I've been looking at getting a 3 year old GP Exclusive Plus BlueHDI 2.0L 150 BHP. In the ad, it says it's an "auto" gearbox but doesn't specify whether it's an ETG6 or an EAT6 gearbox. Does that mean it is a traditional auto box?

I've Googled almost a week and couldn't find any consistent answers!

On Parkers there are two models, I think it is the first one. What's the difference between Auto and EAT6 auto?

Hi,

I thought some of you might like to see this interesting vid featuring one of the insurers we use to underwrite the club's car insurance scheme - ERS.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iP7Bvq2-uVU

Gumball 3000 organisers were looking for a specialist insurer to underwrite this year's event - a motor risk that includes Saudi princes, oligarchs and celebrities, driving prestige cars and imported vehicles worth over £30 million on a 3,000 mile journey through 10 countries. Most insurers ran a mile.

ERS got under the skin of one of the world's most unique motor risks to underwrite the Gumball 3000 rally.

You'll see Chris Knott has partnered with insurers who, like us, know what they're doing when it comes to assessing motor risks, are proper car enthusiasts and take great effort to understand the needs of those they're covering.

ERS has long respected the work we're doing with car club members and will help us to win your business when you ask us to quote for your car at the next renewal.

Please give us a call in the mix when searching for quotes and we'll help you find the best insurance deal this year.

QUOTELINE: 0800 917 2274 - remember to mention this club/forum to access all the benefits.

Recent testimonials...

"I just wanted to send you a message to say many thanks to CK Insurance and Tabitha especially who dealt with my initial query and quotation. Today I have taken out my car insurance with yourselves and it was a nice experience all-round. Tabitha was professional and easy to speak to and answered all the questions I had relating to the cover. I'll definitely recommend others to try you for a quote. You saved me over £375 compared to my renewal quote with *******, and now a chance of F1 tickets! Superb." ZakR, BabyBMW forum

"Just saved £210 on my 9-5 and £167 on my 9-3 Many thanks Chris Knott." zagato, UKSaabs forum

"My last insurance wouldn't cover brake or suspension mods even though they would make the car handle better, but would insure exhaust and air intakes, which sort of add more performance. Anyway, I found Chris Knott were best for me. Club Sponsor." Dan France-Athayde, Hyundai Coupe Owners Club UK

"Just called up for a quote. Doing it all by phone is beautifully antiquated. However, there was a refreshing degree of honesty with the process. In my case they COULD match any sensible quote and were honest that if I wanted the bare minimum I might be able to get it marginally cheaper but highlighted the coverage differences. The breakdown cover similarly has some pretty good terms for the price. Waiting on my old insurer (£650 more expensive) to post out the paperwork." Cyber_hawk, Z4 Forum

"I have my 480 on classic car insurance through Chris Knott this year; a better package than the previous one I had through ****** **** (in particular the insurance company in question is UK based and well known, as against Gibraltar based and completely unknown to me) and significantly cheaper. And I was very impressed with the service!" dcw, Volvo Owners Club

Question about Lexia 3 cables on ebay

$

Hello all,

I just got myself a 2007 1.6 Hdi hatch. I want to add an auxiliary port to the stereo and understand that I need to either get a dealership to enable it for me or do it myself with a Lexia 3 off ebay.

I am leaning towards getting a Lexia 3 as there is so much more that I can do with one.

There are these full chip ones that are twice the price of the ones that don't state full chip. What is the difference and would I still be able to do my stereo with a non-full chip one? I assume I can also reset service lights with one?

Does any one have experience running it with Windows vista as well? My oldest laptop already have vista install and don't really want to put xp back on.

C4GP Front Parking Sensor Aftermarket Install

Hello All,

Just got a 2009 C4GP.
I am installing parking sensors for my wife. Given her ability to park a smaller car, she will kill this one.

Rear sensors are sorted, no problem. - Reverse Light powered, control box in boot.
Front sensors are in, with cables disconnected and wrapped up.

I need to get these 4 cables from the engine bay to the control box in the boot.

I cannot see any way to get them out of the engine bay direct into the cabin! I'd like to route them under the carpet/trim to the boot

I guess I could also run them all the way under the car in trunking and pop them into the boot where the control box is sitting.

So:

1) Any advice on routing cabling from the engine bay into the passenger side, or glovebox?

2) If not doable, any advice on running cables under the car safely?

Thanks,
Tony

Just wondering if the interior of c4 3 door would fit into a 4 door? I have unfortunately won on ebay ' LEATHER SEATS INTERIOR FULL SET CITROEN C4 VTS 2.0 HDI 2004-2011' I own a 5 door 2005 C4 1.6 HDI, love it but think the interior is ugly, placed a bid on ebay literally won it a few hours later. Unless it fits, would anyone be interested in taking them off my hands for a fair price?

Hi, i recently noticed that I was getting handbrake error message on dash, When i inspected the handbrake cable it had managed to break the little black y junction box [img]( not sure what it is called)at the bottom where cable then splits to left and right. My questions are can you buy a cable that runs from the motor on its own with the y junction box attached or have you to buy the whole untit with motor, or can you just buy the y junction box.

thanks for you help

MOT and servicing in London area?

$

Hi All,

I'm new to owning a Grand Picasso. My old car was a small car and was quite cheap to run and service. It was simply just finding a local mechanic and pay him £100 for servicing and MOT.

The GP like any most recent cars, is almost completely electronically-controlled e.g. even the "hand" brake is just a button.

Searched around Citroen websites and the servicing and MOT costs are eye-watering. It is around £285 at this moment in time for 3+ year old cars.

Question is, is it really worth that "Citroen-trained technicians" and plus that "official dealer stamp"? After all, my GP is a second hand car just under 3 year old.

Second question is, are there any long-term GP London-area owners here have any recommendations or favourite garages as to where to service/MOT their car at a decent value/cost? Not looking for cheapest. Looking for good balance between technical competence, cost and quality of service.

Thanks

"Engine temp to high stop car"

Never seen this message before. Driving in slow, stop start traffic yesterday and got a "beep, beep" and then the message. Looked at temp gauge, it was right up to the top. As I was looking to find a place to stop I noticed the temp gauge went back to normal, so I carried on driving to work. Temp gauge was normal (3 bars) as it always is for the rest of the journey to work. Same coming home late last night, 3 bars. The temp gauge was at the top for approx 10 seconds. Could it be a glitch. I have checked the coolant level this morning, perfect, just like it always is. If it's a sensor, which one and where is it.
Thanks.

Air con advice.

The aircon sounds like an asthmatic ant. It sounds like a wheezing sound. Comes on after a few seconds of putting air con on. Any ideas on where to look would be appreciated.
