I have a parcel shelf from a series one DS4 in Black, I also have the 3 rear head rests in Black leather, again these are almost new. I'm open to offers and I'm based in Preston.

If anybody wants pics let me know

They were taken out of my 65 plate DS4 the night before it was stolen and burnt out.

Hi All,

A couple of questions about the 1.6hdi 92bhp engine...

1\ Is this engine fitted with a dual mass flywheel or single?
2\ Does this engine have a DPF?

Particle filter additive level too low

$

I'm getting the error message "particle filter additive level too low" on the dash. On the face of it this is simple and means the EOLYS pouch needs replacing.

However, according to http://c4owners.org/plugins/faq/faq.php?0.cat.2.78 as my VIN has the code VF7 **RHJ it means it's the 2.0HDi that doesn't have a particulate filter i.e.

Diesel:-
RHR - 2.0HDi (138) - With particulate filter
RHJ - 2.0HDi (C4 Picasso)

So I'm confused, either the RHJ code does have a DPF or the error message means something else.

Does anybody have any experience of this?

Thanks

2011 C4 - eMyWay - understanding all the version numbers - do I need to update? Bluetooth problem

$

EDIT:L after a lot of digging around on the internet, i'm currently trying to install the firmware update myself via USB, from 2.0 (what it's currently on) to 2.85. Apparently this will fix the Bluetooth drop out issue also, so fingers crossed this works.

I've got bluetooth problems.

It's intermittent. It all pairs up fine with my HTC one M9. No issues. The moment any kind of music starts playing (say through Spotify), it disconnects the connection, then automatically reconnects - at which point I have to press source again, the music starts playing again, and after some time, it disconnects, and the cycle starts again.

Sometimes it will work for 20-30 minutes with no issue. Most of the time it's 20-30 seconds, and then 3-4 minutes each time.

I've tried it on my Samsung Galaxy S6 - its the same issue, so it's not the phone.

I've tried all kinds of combinations - not using spotify but another media player like YouTube. Or not using 'all' mode but selecting 'hands free' or 'audio only' when the phone pairs. It makes no difference.

The disconnections appear to be totally random, and independent of what is app is outputting audio on the phone, or what mode it's connected in.

I called up Citroen - they charge £79.99 for software updates, or £35 to just check what software version it is and see if an update is available.

I don't care about the sat nav - what i'm wondering is if the software update, if there's one available, would fix this bluetooth problem?

By holding down the 'setup' button - here's the info i gathered:

Unit reference: 9667019180
CD number: 6183
SW Version unit: RNEG2.0.K.R3

Then pressing the knob button on the right, it cycled through different numbers in the SW Version unit row:

- 201007301600 (maybe the time/date the unit was first initialized?)
- CD: 6183
- BR: 6.69j1
- CD_FW:2d
- FP:00.05.01
- GSM: ---
- RD: RMM
- BT: 4.35.1 (bluetooth version number??)
- 70d 10h2
- HDD 0d 0h0
- dbdwnl:243
- Grpo 4:53

So my question is:

1. Does anyone recognise my bluetooth problem above and have been able to fix it?
2. Does anyone know if I have the latest eMyWay software installed or not, or what is the latest version number?
3. For anyone carrying the latest version, can you tell me what the Bluetooth version number is on it? (I'm assuming bluetooth is the BT:xxx thing)
4. Are eMyWay versions vehicle specific or is exactly the same system across the C4/C4 GP/DS4 range?

Thank you.
Hope I get this sorted coz it's doing my head in having to cope with the disconnect/reconnect loops and waiting for that 1/10 chance of it working for longer than 20 minutes.......please help me!

I don't want to pay £79.99 only to find the bluetooth hasn't changed and its all been a waste of money!

Warranty - is it locked to a specific dealer who sold car?

Hi,
I bought a 2nd hand c4P II from a Citroen dealer and it has 12 months warranty with it.
If work ends up needing doing under warranty does it have to be done by the dealer I bought the car from?

I'm asking as my other thread is about regassing the air con and it's been suggested that it may be a faulty valve and fall under warranty.
Trouble is, the dealer I bought the car from is charging more than double what another has quoted me for a regas.

So I guess my question is:
Is my warranty with the Dealer, or Citroen ?

Cheers,
Matt

2012 C4 vtr Door Mirror Price?

Hi new to the forum. Recently purchased a 2012 Citroen C4 but had a mirror that didn't fold (drivers side). Got the garage to replace it but now have a mirror from euro car parts that doesn't fold or have an ambient temp sensor or any welcome lighting. (My local garage fitted it without checking full functionality..). Where can I get a proper mirror & what's the price?

Air box assembly

Hiya, I need to pick some of your brains if possible. My C4 coupe 1.6 hdi has broken all its mounts on the air box, this has led to issues, the air box now bounces around at the back of the engine and has stuffed up the seal on the pipe going to the turbo which is now in turn leaking oil. I am struggling to find the air box and pipes.
Question is will a Citroen belingo air box and pipe (from a 1.6 hdi) fit on my C4 or are the mounts and fastners different, or is is best to just fit an after market kit?
If anyone knows a good place to look for second hand parts for my Citroen that would be helpful as eBay isn't turning up much, neither are my local scrap yards.

Thanks for any advice possible

Undertray removal

Hi All,

Just took the plunge, and bought quite a nice 1.6hdi cool 57 plate.
I know the oil needs changing, as it looks like black treacle, and am all ready to go.

The car is on my drive, but can I remove the undertray? nope.

Every one of the bolts holding the undertray is corroded so much the heads might as well be round. The one bolt I did manage to get some purchase on, it was clear it was locked solid into its nut, which spun in the inner plastic
Currently I have 2 options: 1 get a sump sucker, but the oil is so gloopy I don't think that will work.. 2 grind the heads off the bolts, and then figure out what to do to refit them...
Otherwise, the car is really good!

Any advice would be appreciated...:)

Air con re-gas/top up point

The air con on my 2008 1.6 petrol coupe is weak.
I have one of the EZ-chill kits that I have used successfully on other cars but am struggling to find the valve location.

There are two pipes at the drivers side towards the front. My understanding is that you top up via the low pressure side which is the smaller pipe but the valve and my kit are different sizes. There is a cannister on a fatter pipe next to it which the kit fits but I don't want to do anything if it is the wrong pipe!

Anybody else topped up their own aircon and can confirm the location?

Air con works in the back but the front blowers have stopped working on our 08 Grand Picasso

Hi,

As the title says - the air con has stopped working in the front of the car, but works okay in the back. Hubby says the blower's stopped working.

Took it to the garage and after a quick glance, they say there's a lever in a hidie hole down by the footwell, where there's a lever that's to do with the air con. The lever has broken off, and they need to m take off the dashboard to find out why and to fix it. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm not really seeking a solution - just confirmation that this sounds right. What does this lever do, exactly - anyone know?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Electric park brake fault

Hi
I have a C4 Picasso 2008 and I have overhauled the brake system.
I have a diagbox kit and decided to recalibrate the park brake as there was some slack in the cable.
The problem is I cannot seem to finish the calibration procedure.
I now have a C155A fault "handbrake not calibrated"
It was ok before I started the calibration so I don't think there's anything wrong.
Has anyone done this before and can give me some tips ?
Maybe I need to press the brake while doing this or something silly like this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks !

Replacing broken radio

I've just found one of those niggles when you get a 2nd hand car... the CD player doesn't work.

I don't want to change the radio for an aftermarket one (it does sound good), but I would like to get a standard unit with mp3 from ebay....

Will the replacement need coding to the car, and if so how? I do have access to a lexia if that helps!

C4 1.6 petrol intermittent start problems

$

Hello!
For the last two months I am having some starting problems on my 2008 C4 1.6 petrol. Sometimes after driving around a bit, and after I try to start the car again (example - I go to buy some groceries) it just won't start. It cranks, I can hear the fuel pump but nothing. And every time after i leave it for an hour it starts normally (sometimes without a flaw, and sometimes with a small choke but always on a first crank). First time it went to economy mode because i was trying to start it by cranking 10-15 times. Battery charging did not help.

The symptoms & enviroment:
- diagbox doesn't report any errors except 9c9aon/below steering wheel pairing fault
- it happens after driving a bit (but not every time)
- using main or spare key makes no difference
- car has LPG installed
- it occurred around 10 times so far
- mechanic said it could only be com2000 or bsm, but said that if after locking and unlocking car would not start the com2000 is not a probable cause for that.
- after i leave it for an hour it starts normally

What could this be? I'm sick of wandering the streets aimlessly waiting for the car to start again

Service and Maint Advice - C4 Picasso 2010 1.6HDi VTR + EGS

Hi, please help give advice -

I am due to go on holiday 2 months away - drive to Venice from London. I have purchased this C4 Picasso 2010 1.6HDi VTR + EGS. But am scared as it drives lovely sometimes and when going slow between 1200 and 1800 revs seems to miss a beat when trying to drive at a steady speed, Just resting foot on throttle. So I have to sort press the throttle a bit a slight bit and then come off. It cruises lovely at 60 mph and above.
Advice is required for a good honest garage that can handle Citroen. I have frightening experiences with main dealers and loathe to trust them to give me the most economic option. I live in London and am prepared to travel a bit. So any one know someone or Business who could at least give me an honest diagnosis after a test drive I would be greatfull for the details.
I spoke to the Main dealer who registered the car and found he was rather abrupt and did not want to tell me anything about the car. I did not request any personal info just what services were done and try to clarify the dealers stamps in the book and if any major items were replaced as this was not supplied with the car. No Chance as good as told me to me pig off. Not a very good customer service.

PS Thanks

Depollution system faulty - P0238 & P0401 Fault Codes

$

I carried out a service on the car a few weeks ago (oil/fuel/air/pollen filters and oil change), shortly after that the car started playing up. I'd get the depollution system faulty warning and the car had little power from a standing start especially if you put your foot down. The last time it did this I replaced the turbo solenoid and that cured it, while that was about ten months ago I thought for £40ish I'd do that again as it's a quick hit. That didn't help, I've since checked through anything I touched on the service and seems to be ok, EGR looks clean but I blanked that off to see if that helped. It has seemed to help until today, when heading over a roundabout, with out putting much power down the EML came on, depollution system faulty warning and I scanned the car and got the P0238 & P0401 Fault Codes up.

Any suggestions on what could be a common cause for both those or is that likely to be because the EGR is blanked?

I've attached the screen shots from diagbox.

Joining the dark side?

Well, after many years of owning Citroens with all their idiosyncrasies- I have decided to join the dark side. We have decided to chop in our 2015 C4P for a six month old VW Tiguan. The various warranty repairs we needed plus the dealers poor replacement of the tailgate and four return visits for repair, meant we had lost faith in the brand and dealer.
The forum has been a great help in the past and for that I am extremely grateful.
Best wishes to you all.
