I'm planning to replace the pollen filers, I have watched YouTube clips to help prepare, but looking at the job in hand, my C4GP has an airbag under the steering wheel and behind that is a load of plumbing, it looks impossible to assess the pollen filters, any ideas would be great, thanks .

C4GP: Fog Light Surround/Grille - Part Numbers?
I am trying to source the fog light surrounds, but i'm not sure whether it is the online photos distorting the shape, because some look fatter, longer, narrower than others!?

C4GP - Firewall Wire Holes?
Need to poke some electrical wires through the firewall, is there are grommet behind the battery, or another easier spot to access?

C4 air doseur fittings?
Hello everyone,
The wife’s car 2007 C4 1.6Hdi VTi is leaking a bit of oil from the air doseur. I’ve had a good look through the forum regarding this common problem and will probably try the sealant trick, but before I do can someone inform me if there is anything missing from my doseur? I took it of last night during a knuckle scraping routine service, what concerns me are the holes in the bottom of the doser and the way it doesn’t appear to be fixed to the part it sits on.

Fan blower stuck on maximum
Hello,
On my 2008 C4 GP, the fan blower is stuck on maximum. If I press the fan up/down buttons, the LED segments on the control panel change accordingly, but the fan speed does not change. Likewise, if I press the max de-mist button the light comes on or goes off, but the fan speed stays the same. Air con, recirc/fresh and selection of vent outlets all works fine.
I've searched and found a few threads relating to a motor control resistor, but these are to do with a non-functioning fan. Could the resistor cause this fault too? If so, where is the resistor on the GP? The threads I read were about the Coupe, and the fan was on the left. My fan is on the right, under the steering wheel.

Call list sorting
I noticed that call list from phone connected via bluetooth is sorted firstly by type (missed, dialed, recieved) and then by date.
Is it possible to sort this only by date?
It would be more logical and easier to have on top of the list last numbers you had interaction with, not depending whether you missed, recieved or dialed the number

Steering wheel vibration at motorway speeds, 70+mph
hi - i've got vibration through the steering at motorway speeds.
It's a gentle, 'throbbing' sensation, continuous - to the point where I'm resting my hands on the bottom of the wheel to get away from it.
this never manifested itself on the test drive because i wasn't allowed to take it on the motorway (this was an approved citroen dealer, he said they weren't allowed to go on it on trade plates, and it was something to do with their insurance....).
Driving it back home from the dealer today i immediately noticed it the moment I hit the motorway.
any ideas? Is it just a case that the wheels need balancing, or is this a known issue on this car with a deeper cause?

61 Plate VTR+ - Retrofit Auto Wipers/Auto Lights? (Is it doable?)
Hi All!
Got our lovely 61 plate C4 Picassso VTR+ last Sunday, so far, we're very, very impressed with it!
I found it a little odd that it's got Bluetooth, electric windows, electronic handbrake, power fold mirrors etc but it doesn't have Auto Lights or Auto Wipers, so to complete this, I'd love to add it on!
Has anyone ever done this?
To my knowledge I'd expect it would be a case of adding the sensor at the top of the windscreen (at the end of the sun visor rail in the centre I assume?), fitting stalks with the Auto switches on them, and wiring the sensor somewhere?
Any info on this is greatly appreciated!

C4 VTS 180 bought in good faith. Lemon with many problem - please help!
Hi everyone,
I was desperate for a C4 VTS 180 and after much searching the perfect on appeared on ebay and I bid and won. Sounded and checked out great. Saw car looked OK and picked it up. After travelling 4 hours by public transport on a Sunday night, when problems quickly arose, I decided to just go home. My mistake. So I have a C4 with many faults and I know these will be covered in threads but hoping people can give me asnwers to gauge how bad these are and how much effort / time / cost they might be to fix! Looks like I'm stuck with it and I want to make best of bad situation.
So the problems:
1. Clutch is knackered (but that's a separate thing I can sort)
2. Runs very rough when cold, and cuts out when come off throttle for roundabouts etc. Can't catch idle. Revs and starts well when cold though?! Any ideas?
3. Headlight levelling and directional lights not working. Flashing headlight light. Any ideas?
4. Rear parking sensors not working. No beep when in reverse or anything

Engine oil level, what is "safe" - 2011 c4 2.0 hdi
Yet another problem. I'm only one day into ownership!!
Oil level warning late came on.
I've checked, the level is 2 diamonds out of 5 on the dipstick (assuming you have to insert the stick all the way back in when it clicks back in place )
Is that safe for now ?
Bit narked off given the dealer assured me it had been serviced and engine oil done. Would they only fill it up to under half way ??

C4 1.6 HDI 110 FAP swith a "non standard" thermostat

My plan for today was to change the thermostat due to the engine fans works strangely (it starts a cooling cycle for a couple of minutes at about 50C and then again at 90C. Sometimes it lets the engine overheat and never starts a sequence...).
My guess was that the sensor in the thermosat is broken. Off to the dealer and I got the thermostat below.

I found in my engine the exactly same thermostat but the hose going to EGR cooler
has two hoses. The above has the second hose bent and "welded" to the other.
I found my thermostat in Service box. You can see it in the below picture.

In the picture the part number is missing! You can find the two other thermostat in service box but nothing about mine. Does anyone know anything about this strange device?

Battery fuses
Hi
We now have a C4 Picasso 1.6 HDI VTR+ with an automatic box.
A few days ago, after a 100 mile round trip, i stopped the car, turned the engine off and all hell broke loose!
Beep! Handbrake faulty.
Beep! Rain sensor faulty.
Beep! ABS faulty.
Beep! DPF faulty.
Beep! Gearbox faulty.
Beep! Battery charging faulty.
Beep! And on and on it went, literally everything reporting it was faulty all the while the wipers are going mad for it.
I tried starting the car up again, completely dead. Couldn't hear any solenoid noises at all. It was late, so retired for the night. Couldn't open the boot and the rear doors wouldn't lock, but the front doors did. Great...
Went out the next day, put the key in, turned ignition on, same faults as above showing on the dash, then started first turn of the key. Weird. So i fetched the laptop for Diagbox. Hooked the laptop up - every damn ECU had faults - on further inspection they were all related to "unable to wake" or comms error.
Cleared all faults and went to start up again, completely dead. Thought maybe the battery is duff, but that wouldn't explain the electrics that were working were doing so without any problems, autolights were on and the headlights were nice and bright. Swapped batteries with our Passat and again, same problems ensued.
Tried BSI reset - no difference.
Disconnected battery and disconnected the BSI then plugged everything back in after an hour. Started first turn of the key, but the faults remained. All the while, i couldn't change gear, stuck in Neutral.
Went out today and started it up first time again and it went into gear, put it into reverse and went backwards, parking brake disengaged and it actually moved! Went to move into A (drive) and it was stuck in reverse!
I'll check the grounds, see if there's an Earth problem. Nope, all solid and clean. Changed a couple of fuses in the engine fusebox which looked a bit corroded. Made no difference.
Then i thought what turned out to be fuses on the top of the battery look like they are bridging something - maybe they are fuses! Ok, I'll test them. All working fine til i got to the last one - F9 - and it was dead. Got another one of these maxi fuses from motor traders and chucked it in. Started her up, faults all over the place again. Got Diagbox back up - it now shows all ECU's with faults and i can connect to them so i cleared all the faults. Started the car up - no faults, everything is working perfectly as it was before! Took her for a drive and found no problems with any of the electrics. Thank God, but...What the hell was that 60Amp fuse and why did it blow in the first place?!
I checked the manual - it lists descriptions for battery fuse board F1-F8 and F9+ all say these should be tested and serviced by Citroen techs only. Guess i must be overqualified!
Searched everywhere and can't find info on what battery fuse board fuses F9-F16 do.
Anybody know what this is and why it may have blown in the first place?

Climate control - fresh air intake / air recirculation
Hi,
On my C4 2012 with climate control, when clicking on the air recirculation it doesn't stop the airflow and also insert odours from the outside hence I think the I have a failure with it.
Please let me know what should I check...

Roofbox/aerial
Hello,
The car has sat-nav.
I would like to know if I place a long roof box on the C4 Picasso Exclusive plus 2015, then can the roof aerial be removed to place a large box on roof?
If aerial is removed then what is the disadvantage? Will the sat nav continue to work?
