I think my rear wheel bearing is failing as I'm getting a lot of roaring/jet engine type of noise as I drive. At first I noticed the sound when driving at 70pmh but now I'm starting to notice it at lower speeds too. The other day I took all the tyres off checked them to see if anything was stuck in them but they looked fine. When I took of the rear nearside wheel off I found it much harder to spin the disk brake compared to the rear offside (after releasing the electronic handbrake).
Has anyone had experience in replacing the rear wheel bearing assembly? I called a local Citroen dealer for the cost of the part and they quoted £115. Would anyone know how much it would be as a premier C4owner? I also found a part from FAG wheel bearing kit at £84 at a online site called Autosessive. Eurocarparts also list FAG but at double the price. Anyone heard of the FAG brand or Autosessive?
Also, What size torx socket would be need for the 4 bolts of the assembly? And the torque for tightening. And what torx bit size for the caliper bracket?
