Central locking C4 2009 Picasso 1.6d auto

The Passengers side front door does not lock or unlock with the blip on the remote key.
The only way to lock all doors is with the key in the passengers/drivers front door.If you try with the blip all doors lock apart from the passengers door ,if you then open the passengers door it trips all the other doors to open .
I've had the door apart and have taken the bolts out of the door lock ,but cannot see how the mechanism comes off.
Or is there something that has stuck somewhere ion the assembly?.
 
Any ideas/advice would be great.

Hi, I have a Grand Picasso 2.0 EGS gearbox. It keeps slipping out of 4th gear back into N when driving in auto and in semi auto. Could anyone help please?

C4 2.0hdi vts starting issue

Hi all.
As per my previous threads I still get the depolution fault ,only when I hit 3k revs in 3rd gear (strange).
Now it's decided to have days where it will start then the revs die off.
Once I have a fiddle at the fuel filter using the priming Bulb and opening the bleed nipple (air comes out) it will eventually start and is fine for the rest of the day.
Also when I pressurise using the priming bulb it forces diesel out of the seam on the filter housing (see pics) should it do this? Could this be an issue stopping it to start.

air doseur removal

Hi, about to have a go at resealing the air air doseur on my 1.6hdi. Thing is when i last looked at this I couldn't remove the unit. i could remove all the pipes and one bolt at the bottom front. This felt like then the unit could slide around, but it was still being held somewhere. i didn't want to force anything so left it at the time. now i have some sealant and know this is the oil leak cause I'd like to sort it. Does anyone know how the unit can be removed? is there another bolt somewhere ? I have looked quite extensively and as yet can't find any howto/videos on removing it. the schematic on here is handy but i still cant work out what secures the unit to the car, apart from that obvious bottom bolt. Thanks for looking.

C4GP Exclusive - Xenon Problems

Hi,

I have just got my car back from my local dealership, with a £1,000'ish quote to replace my O/S Xenon headlamp assembly, inc ballst which has now blown due to being exposed to moisture, apparently.

To give some background, I discovered moisture in my headlight and this had stopped the xenon from working. I took it to the dealer and they have now said I need to replace the whole assembly. I have a couple of questions with regards to this:

1. Is the headlight assembly for a Xenon, a different part number to the standard one? Or is it the same, just with the projector bowl and retainer ring for the D1S bulb?

2. Can the headlight leak, be found and repaired and if so, how would I go about this?

This is what I would prefer to do, as I already have a new bulb and would only have to buy a ballast unit, to get it working, once the headlight had been sealed.

DS4 HDi Blue Spare wheel

When I bought the new car I tried to swap over the insert for the spare wheel well from the old car as the new one doesn't take a spare - sadly, it doesn't fit as the old insert was shaped for a car without the AdBlue tank fitted which takes up about half the well.

Our car, being a DSport, couldn't be ordered with a spare from the factory on account of the space saver not fitting over the larger front discs (the same is true of a DStyle ordered with 19" Cairns wheel or the more recent Prestige); however, Duxford Motor Group put our reg into their system and the part number 9800721280 was spat out as the correct insert. We already had all the parts from our old car (which I'd ordered when we bought it), this is what it all looks like;

The insert for tyre gunk alone;



The shallow well with the handbrake mechanism;



The new insert, quite flimsy;



The insert with the chocks, brace, cap remover and bolt cover remover all fitted;



The wheel fitted;



There is nowhere specific for the jack but it fits quite comfortably behind the wheel - I've wrapped it in a cloth as it sits alongside the metalwork

Hope this is of help to those looking at a spare with a euro 6 Blue model (I assume the 1.6 HDi Blue is the same). Just need to remember to put the spare on the back, and accept that the wheel that comes off will have to fit in the boot.

Having bought our 2.0HDi Blue to tow a caravan, it became clear speaking to many dealers that few used a genuine Citroën bar on account of the hideous cost and were quoting for a local place to fit one - one exception was the dealer we bought it from who said they only fit OEM but did suggest fitting aftermarket was a better option so I thought it would be useful for you to see the set-up;

The fitting is barely visible;

The 13-pin socket pulls down;

£440 all-in, the only oddity is I can hear a different tone for the indicators from the rear but the tone on the dash doesn't change

2005 1.6 HDI Hatch 90ps - Heater blower not wokring at all, end of my tether

After reading lots of post relating to the heater blower i am stumped at mine,
Over the course of a few weeks, parts of the manual air con front panel started to go wrong.
First the air con stopped but the light still came on, then the air con light stopped, then the re-circ light stopped and finally the blower stopped completely.

I checked the resister even though it wasn't even working on setting 4 but the resister pack was perfect, took it to a friend who runs a garage, he looked at it for an hour and said it was the front panel which was at fault, nto wanting to buy a new panel from Citroen for the £211 quoted, i purchased a used (100% guaranteed working) one from ebay for £22.50, changed it over, blower still does not work .

Checked power to the panel plug and i have 12v going into the panel, connected up the motor direct to a small 12v battery and it fired up perfect.
Checked the earth and that's fine, now if i disconnect the resister and put a meter on the 'White' wire which goes to the resister plug, this comes from the number 4 position on the panel, i get 0.03v coming through it when i switch the panel to number 4 position, now i thought maybe i've been sold a faulty panel but i can't see both panels suffering from the same issue.

I still get a power light from the heated rear window switch on the panel .

I've got a Haynes manual for the wiring diagrams and i'm just stumped, and it's now getting cold in the mornings. Does anyone have any ideas? is there something else i'm missing?
I know it's not the key switch as that was another earlier model, i'm going mad.

Citroen C4 steering angle sensor comms unit reset

Hello, I have a 2010 Citroen C4 1.6 HDI EGS VTR+ and had a second hand steering rack put in 6 months ago. Since then, the ESP has been kicking in on roundabouts. I have tried re-calibrating the steering angle sensor with a Lexia unit, but it isn't solving the problem (after attempting to re-calibrate a number of times, an angle of approx 50 degrees is read when steering is straight ahead). I recall reading somewhere that the physical sensor is located in the comms unit below the steering wheel, and that a dial in this can be physically reset in case work on the steering system changes the angle. However, I can't find this information again. Any advice and tips on this would be much appreciated as I suspect the frequent ESP is not doing brake pads and discs any favours...

ABS problems

Hey all.
So I've been in a bit of a stress since coming back from holiday. My rear brake discs and pads needed replacing so I've replaced them. Once they were replaced my ABS light came on and every so often it makes a terrible noise. I hooked it up to a machine and it said that my ABS was faulty. I've just changed my ABS sensor and it's still doing the same thing. It's off when I start my car but once I drive it makes a noise then the light comes on. Someone told me that it was a reluctor ring and that it's damaged but every garage and car part place has said there's no such thing. It's driving me mad. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

I wonder if anyone could help my gearbox whines in every gear when accelerating and decellerating, also it knocks when in lower gears, any idea what it might be apart from naffed

iPhone 6 on C4 Coupe

Hi everyone, newbie here.

Just bought a used C4 Coupe, 1.6HDi. Absolutely superb car.

One question..... How to i get my iPhone 6 to play via the usb port in the glove box?
I've updated the firmware as per the instructions, used different cables etc, but all I get is the phone going into a weird cycle of charging for 1 second, then not charging for 1 second and so on.
Ive tried a USB stick with MP3 music on it, which works fine so im figuring its an iPhone/compatability issue.

I would be grateful for any advice on this.

2011 C4 Grande Picasso - Cabin Air steaming up windscreen

I have a 2011 7 seat Grande Picasso and the air blower in the cabin is steaming up the windscreen when the dial is turned to hot - especially on the passenger side. There is a sweet smell at same time (antifreeze?). Initially at beginning of issue a white dust was thrown onto the windscreen but that hasn't happened again. Garage guy looked at the overflow from the unit and that was clear. They now suspect the radiator is leaking into the air system. Any thoughts anyone on this?

C4 GP heater fan only works on SLOWEST speed.

Hi can anyone advise on this. I have a 2007 GP Exclusive with the electronic climate control. The heater fan only works on SLOW. Which seems to be the opposite of anything I can find in the forum or googling. I tested the fan directly on 12v and it goes fast. I have fitted a replacement resistor pack and the problem remains. Has anyone experienced this or have any idea what to look for. Thanks.

Where has the Adblue filler cap gone?

Hi, I have the 2016 Grand C4 and the Adblue filler isn't under the offside third row seat anymore, there is a hole in the carpet but no filler cap. I'm guessing it has been moved to allow for the space saver wheel. Anyone got any ideas where it is as the manual offers no clues.

Update;Found it! It is at the front of the third row seat well so you can't see it when the seat is up.

Help I can't find my OBD Port on my 07Plate C4 Picasso VTR+

I can't seem to find the location of the obd port, I have a right hand drive 07 plate C4 Picasso VTR+. It's not in the glove box with the fuses (as far as I can see anyway), it's not on the right hand side under the steering wheel either (as far as I can see). Any help would be appreciated!

S&S 6 speed manual box?

Hi I'm looking to possibly replace my French LHD G C4P fairly soon with a U.K. spec RHD model. I have the 6 speed semi-auto sequential gear box (paddles on the steering wheel jobbie), I can't remember what the heck it's called here? I want the same box on the new model, but all I can find on the config web pages is a S&S 6 speed manual option or the auto. I don't want the auto. I can't find any description of just what the S&S is?

Is it the same as I have now, or does it have a wagly stick instead of the paddles on the steering wheel? Any ideas please??
