Upgrade OS and Maps on a 2014 Grand Picaso

Hi folks,

I imported a 2014 (October) Citreon C4 Grand Picaso Exclusive from the UK.

The maps are out of date and my Galaxy s7 is unable to connect via bluetooth or USB.

I am looking to update the OS, the maps and the bluetooth on the system without going to a dealer (as they will most likely tell me get lost) if that is possible.
I tried updating maps through MyCitreon but it points me to a site to pay £64 to update the maps.

System Version: SMEG5.1.E.R2 (16/12/2013)
Map Version: DbDw_275/Gr_405
Bluetooth Version: 1.2.0 (2013)
Display Version 30.10 (16/12/2013)

Does anyone have tutorials on where to get the software and perform an upgrade on the above items to see if it fixes the S7 connection issue?

Radio

I have a c4 Picasso and when the radio is on the screen shows the station that i, m listening to. It also shows me the name of the song and the artist that is being played, Most of the time the information doesn, t always fit the screen and i only get part of the information ie I might get the name of the song but the artist cannot be read
Is there a way of having this info scrolling across the screen instead of being static, so that i can read it all ?

usb problems

I have recently bought 2016 Picasso and although I have formatted a usb stick fat32 and loaded with mp3 320 brt tracks the stick which 16gb isn't being recognised.
can anyone help please ?

Hi,

I currently have SMEG+ (5.41) on my 2015 C4GPII
It has also 12" screen
Is it possible to replace the hardware to smeg+ iv2?
Mirrorlink and carplay are not supported in SMEG+

C4 VTS 2.0 Front and rear shock replacement

Hello,
So my car just came back from a service and they have stated that I have to replace both my front and rear shock absorbs. The quote they give me is extremely stiff so I would like to find out a bit more on alternatives and what aftermarket parts I can look at.

I also see on the quote that there's a charge for two mount assembleys.

Can anybody give some insight into which brands and units I can look at that won't cost me an arm and a leg please?

Keyless / remote door opening - passenger side issue

Hi all... happy Xmas to you all....

My C4GP is now nearly 3 years old.... how time flies.... for the most part it's been a great car but it now has a few issues. I need to book it in for it's third and final service (as part of the extended Citroen plan) and will point out the following issues:-

Sticking clutch pedal problem (new Master Cylinder)
Squeaking Steering column (lubrication of rubber grommet)

But the last thing is that it's not possible to use the keyless locking on the passenger side (to either lock or unlock). The locking works fine otherwise and with the key remote.... it's just the touch feature on the passenger side.

I've searched but couldn't find anything specific here, but wondered if anyone had had a similar problem.

Which fuse for rear brake lights?

It seems both brake lights have stopped working on my C4GP 2010. The high level brake works fine so i thought it might just be the bulbs but they are both fine as well. I have now assumed that the brake lights might be on a seperate fuse so can anyone point me in the right direction as to which it is, the manual does not specify a fuse for brake lights so i am stuck? Any other suggestions/advice of what else it might be?

2016 C4 Grand Picasso - Removal of rear bumper

I have a 2016 C4 Grand Picasso Exclusive with a Blue HDI 120 diesel. I need to remove the rear bumper to fit a tow bar and I cannot find any instructions for removing/refitting the bumper on this car. I am reluctant to start the job without some clear instructions. Can anyone help please?

2007 c4 grand picasso 1.6 vtr+ auto multiple warning messages

Hi guys had my grand pic for about a month now and i have started getting 3 warning messages. Hoping somone may be able to help,
First message it started with was handbrake faulty warning so i took car back 3 times to dealer but they say as no codes logged and handbrake working they cant fix it as dont know what's faulty.
Second and Third fault have appeared in last 2 days so cant get into garage yet with it being xmas...depollution system fault warning and then yesterday Stop engine too hot warning even though car had not been driven for 8 hours. I need to use car for hospital appointments over next 2 days so any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA Joe

Want to install xenon headlights on my Grand Picasso

I got an offer for a pair of xenon headlight from a Picasso from 2016, will they fit my Grand Picasso from 2016?

I know there will be a problem with the curve lights, but are they the same size. And will I be able to fit them on the car?

2015 C4P Exclusive+ 150 BlueHDi auto tailgate fails to open

The automatic opening tailgate fails to open quite often now, it beeps and unlocks but does raise. Sometimes a 2nd push of the switch above the number plate will get it to raise but sometimes not.

Does anyone know if the car uses the rear sensors to prevent the boot from opening? I have to park quite close to the house but not close enough to cause any issues with the boot opening but the sensors beep when I park.

Or, could it be faulty?

My wife C4 Picasso 2008 2.0 hdi EGS..with 75k..has dropped a few revs.. on idle and when driving.
It has stalled a few times too. There are no engine management lights on dash.. Battery is new, just serviced with all filters.. it’s causing the gears to change and drive in lower gears because the it’s revs are low. I would say it use to idle 9000 revs.. now its hovering on 7000... 3 blocks on the rev counter..
Can anyone help me or advise me... I haven’t had it on OBD ...

Road Rage, wish I had a dashcam.

Driving home from work earlier today along the M56 from Ellesmere port. Came of at Junction 12. The exit goes into 4 lanes, stopping at lights. The lane on the left is for left only, remaining 3 lanes are for going around the roundabout, filtering from the right into 2 lanes. We are stopped at the lights (on Red) when the car in the middle just takes off, I was on his left. The lights turn Green and we drive of. The Merc that was on his right at the lights, speeds past this driver, sounding his horn. About 2 miles down the road, the Red light jumper thinks its me sounding the horn, drives in front of me and slams on to a stop. He gets out, comes back to my car, feffin and jeffin for about 2 mins and says something like "you be very carful, you don't know what I can do". I just tell to do one and get back to his car.
Just wish I had had a dash cam.

Stop light with check engine light came on while driving on motorway

Hi all,

While driving along the motorway today steadily driving around 70mph the engine diagnostic light suddenly came on. If I remember correctly it was when I was accelerating slightly up a small hill - Not very steep at all. Since it was at least 50 miles from home with small baby and going towards my destination (and not returning home) it was a very worrying experience! We decided to continue to going anyway since it would be a wasted day had we chose to go home.

Apart from the occasional reminder alert about the light, the car seem to be working normally.

On the way back, I noticed a few things.

- fuel seem to be used more - but it could be simply be a cold day!
- noticed twice that there seem to be a strong smell of fuel but was very briefly so could be from another vehicle.
- the STOP red light flashes momentarily before the check engine message.
- engine diagnostic light is solid amber.
- warning got more frequently as we approach home near the evening - but it could be that we stop/starting in city traffic as opposed to driving steadily on the motorway.
- messages seem come on more frequently when accelerating or stopping harder.

Did a quick research and it could be due to a dirty/block air filter. We were driving in heavy rain 2 days ago which may be the cause if this were the case?

Worst it could be a blocked DPF. But the message should specifically mention this and wouldn't be so vague.

Any advice or thoughts about the problem? I'm thinking of getting the dealers to have a have a look at it tomorrow if it is still drivable!

Wing mirrors in reverse

Hi all. Hoping someone on here can help or impart wisdom. We have a 6 month old C4 Picasso. Last week the reverse wing mirror function (where they dip when reverse gear is engaged) on the right hand side mirror stopped dipping to the same extent. It does it but only slightly. The left mirror still works and dips properly. Can anyone tell me if they've had similar experience or if it is a setting I can change? I've looked in the manual and gone through the system but nothing comes up apart from turning the function on or off. I've read on older models that by selecting reverse, then adjusting the mirrors then coming out of reverse stores the level of dip, but the same technique doesnt seem to work.

1.4 16v KFU - P0170, intake manifold pressure? Huge problem

Hello,

Guys, I have a problem with my C4 1.4 16V KFU engine. The main problem is, that sometimes (without specific period of time, randomly) i have a P0170 fault. I read all topics here realted with this fault, also i've checked purge selenoid valve (as I read it is common problem in this engine) and i have no ideas at this time.

Can anyone (with the same engine) check intake manifold underpressure on idle? Or what should be a correct underpressure? I have 28-31 kPA and LTFT around 25%. When I allow the engine to get more air by slowly disconnecting hose on inlet manifold, the underpressure falls down to 35kPA and the LTFT is around 5%.

I have checked the inlet manifold hermetics(tights? I don't know how say it in english) - it didn't get the "fake air", selenoid valve checked. Exhaust gas test confirm that everything is OK so I exclude both O2 sensors (voltages and signal shapes are OK).

What's this pipe for?

I have a 2013 C4GP 1.6 e-HDi. i pulled up the other day and discovered a pipe hanging near the rear left wheel. One end of the pipe was in a clip with space for another pipe, the other end has a fitting that looks like it clips into something. given its location i assume its a breather, i have tried to locate where it came from but haven't yet had any luck. its slightly to the left of where the spare wheel would be and the open end faces the rear bumper. its about 30cm long.

RT3 SAT/NAV BLANK SCREEN

Hi, I have a 2007 C4 GP Exclusive with the RT3 head unit. On a recent 160 mile trip the radio started to be intermittent, then the Sat/Nav screen started to flash on and off and finally went blank. The radio and CD will work (no screen) until the phone lights show emergency calls only.
Is it the head unit that is faulty, if so will a later model fit without any problems?
