EP6 Coolant Pump Drive Friction Wheel - Noise?

Hello All,

I have been noticing at cold starts that there is a loose/rattling noise coming from around the coolant pump drive friction wheel.

I am suspecting that it is the source, since once the friction wheel "straightens" out to start driving the water pump pulley, the noise seems to go away.

Also, when the noise occurs, I do see some side-ways movement from the friction wheel's lower arm.

The following parts have been replaced on the car (so-far..):

- Dynamic Tensioner
- Water pump pulley and belt
- Complete timing chain kit (chain, guides, chain tensioner, camshaft intake phaser)


In addition, the car had a big service done previous to the parts replacement, which included:

- Engine oil and filter
- Brake fluid
- Spark plugs
- Cabin filter
- Engine air filter
- Software upgrades (engine and transmission - it's an auto box)

I would like your opinion as to if it is possible that the noise could be coming from the friction wheel?

The car by the way is a 2012, with 37,000 Kms on the clock.
