Hi all I have been having a real issue with my C4 picasso. It started with a fault light on with DPF risk of blocking. Then started getting lack of power. No faults coming on diagnostics and air flow readings seemed to be ok. I replaced the air mass meter anyway which did improve the lack of power but DPF fault still came on. After a few months lack of power returned. This time fault with EGR valve stuck open while driving after doing the basic checks on from the ECU to the EGR with no faults found with the wiring I replaced the EGR valve. This is when I started to get stuck the new EGR valve would fail to program with the Lexia. Saying it was stuck open when it wasn't. I rechecked the wiring and closed up pins on the connector on the ECU and EGR valve. I then opened up the old EGR valve cleaned it so it wasn't sticking. Plugged it back into the vehicle then carried out programming the valve moved despite Lexia showing it not moving. Measured the voltage to the ECU for reference of the EGR and that showed voltage moving when the valve opened and closed. At this point I was thinking it must be ECU or software issue so was going to get rid. Then the unthinkable happened I dropped the ecu and it was completely dead. I decided to get an unlocked ECU with the DPF deleted out. I removed the DPF and fit the new ecu. I have now got more issues the DPF light is out but the fans run constantly and faults stored for open circuit for the fans and also faults stored for the EGR butterfly. Also handbrake warning and ESP lights on dash when I check the memory there is a fault for no communication with the engine ECU but when I check the live data in the ABS control unit it is getting engine data like engine speed and torque request. Sorry for the long description. If anyone can help with any aspect of my faults I would be extremely grateful.
