I'm sure this has been done before, but I can't see any reference to the B7 C4 model.
So, a few months ago I had 4 people in the car and noticed the clutch was slipping slightly in 3/4/5th gears especially on m/way slip roads. It then kinda went away (especially with only me in the car) but after having the car sit for 10 days whilst on holiday, I have noticed a slip creeping back in but again it appears to be intermittant. It's most noticeable in 2/3/4th gears. In addition, I have noticed that there is (only intermittently) a complete loss of drive between 2nd and 3rd gears! It's almost as if I was in a manual car, let off the throttle, changed gear, and then delayed engaging the drive by being slow on raising the clutch! I have stuck it in 'manual', selected 3rd or 4th gear and gone up a hill but it didn't appear to slip...
The car is only 3 years and 5 months old with 62,000 miles and a full service hist. 80% of my driving is long journeys on motorways. I'm most afraid that the DMF/clutch assembly is faulty and it may cost £££££'s. However, I have seen posts about getting the gear box re synchronised...
Anyone got any 'positive' thoughts about what's going on here?
Many thanks
