Hi there, hopefully some of you nice guys might be able to give me some pointers on whats required to remove and refit a replacement passenger door on my partners c4 5 door hatch.
Unfortunately when out shopping, my partner didn't see a small post next to the car in the parking bay she was in and when pulling out hit it with the front passenger door, which is now concave in shape and badly scratched. Fortunately I found a replacement door on EBay in the same colour so bought it with the intention of just swapping it over.
My initial looking at the fixings led me to assume the 2 hinge pins could be knocked out, one going up, the other going down. Is it that simple? Any tips?
The other issue is the door handle/lock removal and replacement using the lock off the original (bent) door. I can only see one screw beneath a plastic cap in the edge of the door. Is this the only fixing and is it a fairly straight forward swap, including any wiring for the electric door mechanism, and speaking of wiring, is there usually enough slack in the loom to withdraw the connector out of the bodywork to undo the old connector and attach the new?
Any tips would greatly be appreciated!
Thanks in advance
