Grey blocks on top display

Hello,

I have recently got a new C4 Grand Picasso, and am struggling with the large display. I have been trying to change the back ground as the left and middle portion have grey blocks on the screen.

They are quite anything and badly placed depending on what I put on there.

Is that normal or could it be a fault?

Also managed to lose the radio icons too... Oops.

Any help would be appreciated.
