Hi all, I'm a new member and this is my first post. I'm not much of a genius when it comes to general car care and maintenance, so if you need more information in order to provide advice or suggestions please let me know.
I own a C4 Picasso, 57 plate (not sure if this is important to mention for this issue). The circuit board inside my key fob is damaged - more specifically the connector that holds the 3 pins that would make contact with the battery has fallen off. I don't know how to repair it, or even if it can be repaired.
It's a 3-button fob.
I've been looking into sourcing and buying a new circuit board, but would I need to have it paired with my car by a professional or is this something that I could do without specialist equipment?
If it's something I could potentially do myself (with the right instructions), does anybody have advice on reputable dealers where I could buy the right circuit board for my fob?
Hope you can help. Many thanks in advance!
Alex
