My UREA warning light came on about 6 weeks ago with countdown clock(2500kms). I filled up again with fluid, approx 12ltrs. Warning light stayed on with continued countdown. My local mechanic said they reset after a few starts of the engine, it didn’t and once mileage c/down hit 1100kms to no starting, booked into local Citroen garage to plug in and see what was going on. On the morning of its visit to Citroen, I was parked up waiting for garage to open. When open, I started up to drive into car park and like magic, UREA light off and countdown gone. I still had system plug in, no major codes came up, just code for Urea warning light, which was reset. All good till this week when starting up, UREA warning light and countdown clock came on again. Checked level of fluid (just in case) less than 1ltr to fill.
What I want to know is is it a float / sensor / wiring issue. Has anyone replaced float in UREA tank, can tank be split or is it a sealed unit? Any info would be great as clock ticking.......
