Hello, this is my first post here and I apologies as I know there have been loads of questions and answers of a similair nature and I have probably posted in the wrong section but please be gentle I'm new
So to the point, I have a 58 plate c4 grand picasso 1.6hdi which is causing me to go insane. I have had the anti pollution fault giving error codes p0234,1351 and 0462 on and off for a while now until I finally took it to a mechanic who suggested there was a problem with the turbo. Sure enough there was, one of the veins had vanished so I assume it fell off and went out the exhaust, or more likely got stuck in the dpf! It was also whistling loudly so I think the bearings were on their way out. Anyway, I replaced the turbo, did the sump strainer new feed line, removed the filter from the banjo bolt and cleaned the dpf.I used a Mann oil filter and refilled with the recommended Total oil. After nervously starting her up after finishing the job I was chuffed to bits to hear the turbo running sweetly and everything seemed good. After about 30 miles however the anti pollution fault came back! I have replaced the MAF at the same time I did the turbo. I am now at the point where as far as I can make out from my many hours lurking on the forums here that the most likely issue is going to be the egr valve which looks like another big job which I'm struggling to find the time for and another large dent in my wallet. So after all that waffle what I'm after finding out is this, does this problem seem likely to be being caused by the egr or is there anything simpler I have missed that I can check first? Also I have seen some talk of using a spray cleaner added through the turbo inlet to clean the egr, does anyone have any experience of this? Thank you in advance and once again I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.
