Hello all, I am having issues with my C4GP 1.6HDi (2007) and would be so very grateful for any help you can give.

When driving at any speed, even with a constant throttle position, you can hear the waste-gate chattering quite regularly and it is very down on power because of this. Going up inclines it is hard to get over 40 which is a pain on a 60 road! It will keep dropping down to 3rd for example and find a little power band and get to 45 and then it will struggle again and drop to 3rd and do it again.

Sometimes, quite frequently actually, I will get a handbrake faulty followed by esp, abs warnings etc. The handbrake wont work automatically after this but works fine manually.

Cruise control works fine until something triggers it to turn off and then it won't set a speed until the car is restarted.

I have replaced the egr valve for a brand new one. I have just put a brand new turbo on too as the shaft broke - probably due to the constant battering the car needs just to get upto speed! I also replaced the brake sensor switch a few months ago which fixed the habdbrake/abs/esp fault for a while but it came back.

I borrowed a friends Snapon code reader and got ...

0000 Engine fusebox fault: ecu not communicating on the CAN - not characterized - local.

U1208 no communications with engine management ecu value received incorrect.

099c engine fuse box: fuel pump fault - not characterized - local.

I would just like to add that the car starts perfectly and runs fine (apart from the power problem) and it doesn't stall.

I would greatly appreciate any help on this as I have spent a fortune on the car lately and feel like i'm getting nowhere! Turbo, egr valve, dual mass flywheel and clutch all at once 😭

Many many thanks in advance
