Evening all,
During the recent snow my dear wife decided to test the strength of the wiper blades while partially frozen to the windscreen.
Once activated the drivers side wiper broke in half and part of the plastic clip/metal pins made a large scratch (about 5cm in width) right across the drivers side while going through its arc. Driving at night or in rain is really difficult due to the distortion. The insurance company have agreed to replace the windscreen through Autoglass
Quick question: is the glass a heat reflecting type ?(its a 2013 C4GP platinum), on the windscreen there is some writing "saint gobain 70% etc...."
also they have offered to do a mobile fit outside, at my place. Given the size would it be advisable to take the car to their workshop as the environment is much cleaner and I guess it might be a 2 man lift.
Lastly, are there any other useful bits of advice from forum members that I should be weary of to make sure the job is done properly. I'm not really keen on changing the original spec glass but I guess don't have much choice, given the visibility issues
thanks in advance.
