When its a key to another car!
Got a C4P.b78 about 6 weeks ago ago - lovely car, big improvement on the Xsara Picasso we had.
It came with a spare key. The mrs is going away for days, so I wanted her to take the spare key just in case. I decided to try it out first though incase it needed a battery etc.
It didn't work, so I replaced the battery.
Still didn't worked so searched online for any reprogramming tips. Found one site that said, get into the car with the blade, insert the fob and hold the start button. Does this work, btw?
Anyway, the blade on my spare key is not for our car, so guessing the fob isn't either.
So I have a working key & a key that's not for my car.
Given this set of magical ingredients, whats the best solution to getting a spare key? Can I have the fob reprogrammed and the blade recut? Or must I buy a new key entirely?
