Windscreen Washer Jets Activate Not In Correlation To Wipers

Hello everyone.

First off, i have had a look on the forum but nothing which sounds like my issue so forgive me if there is indeed a thread lurking about I missed!

Heres the problem i think.

If i pull the windscreen washer stalk, it activates the rear wiper but NOT the wiper, it instead activates the front wiper.

If i twist the windscreen washer stalk, i get both front windscreen washer jets activates in a burst fashion, and the rear wiper activates continously

To get rear to wash and wipe, i have to pull the stalk and immediately twist the stalk to activate it quickly.

To get the front to wash and wipe, I have to twist the stalk and pull the stalk at the same time, which then activates both front and back washers and wipers.

So. . . . why!?!?

Do i need to swap the windscreen washer tubes around? Or am I missing something here?
