Having pulled off the manifold, as well as the expected black rubber O rings, there is also a hard plastic standoff/spacer type thing. I've not been able to find any reference or parts diagram to ID what they are for.
They fit between the O ring and the alloy cam ladder, and seem to raise the O ring closer to the plastic intake manifold.
