Hi there,
I've been driving my 2008 C4 1.6 HDI for about a week now and think it's a great car. Overall the gearbox is brilliant and the car pulls better than my 150bhp Vectra but starting from a stand still is a bit hit and miss. When i put my foot down it seems to take the gearbox a second or two to engage which has lead to a few "oh [%*^#@!]" moments entering roundabouts! It also seems that if i press my foot harder it takes even longer to think about it.
Is this normal for the gearbox or is there a technique to get it to engage a bit more responsively?
Thanks for any advice
Ben
